Behavioral Services

Our Behavioral Services, including Applied Behavioral Analysis, are provided to families supporting a loved one with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, developmental delays, ADHD, and other diagnoses that are affecting their functioning. We service children aged 2 -18 years old. Our services are designed and tailored to increase the client’s positive, socially significant, and developmental outcomes. We believe it is considered best practice to provide behavioral services in the person’s natural environment, such as the home and community, and to involve the person’s primary caregivers in the intervention actively.  With that, there are also positive outcomes for the families and communities surrounding the individual receiving services.

Our Approach

All services provided by Burnett Therapeutic Services use an adaptable model so that our services can be individually designed to meet the specific needs of the client and family.

We serve people with varying support and training needs including individuals with developmental disabilities; individuals who have a dual diagnosis; exhibit behavioral challenges; history of misconduct; require assistance with self-help skills; have impaired mobility; and require therapeutic treatment       and interventions.

Each individual served by Burnett Therapeutic Services will be provided with the support and services that correlate to his or her needs and their family’s needs, as appropriate.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding and modifying behavior, widely recognized as an effective intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ABA therapy aims to enhance distinct behaviors, including social interaction, language proficiency, literacy, and scholastic performance. Additionally, it targets the refinement of practical abilities, such as motor dexterity, personal care, household tasks, timeliness, and professional aptitude. ABA uses techniques such as reinforcement, shaping, and prompting, and aims to increase desirable behaviors and decrease unwanted behaviors.

We're Here for You No Matter Where You Are

We offer ABA service options in our clinics, in your home, in the community, and at school (pending medical necessity and insurance approval).

In-Home Services

Our in-home ABA therapy utilizes your family's natural routines and activities to foster skill development for your child. A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will assess your home environment and family dynamics, incorporating your interactions and daily routines into your child's personalized treatment plan. Collaboratively, we establish goals aligned with your family's aspirations. Our dedicated behavior interventionists (BIs), implement tailored interventions in your home or community settings, offering flexibility and convenience. In-home ABA therapy facilitates skill acquisition in familiar surroundings, involving parents and siblings, making it an accessible and effective option for many families.

Clinic-Based Services

Clinic-based ABA therapy, involves structured, one-on-one and group sessions conducted in a clinical setting, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis techniques tailored to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other disabilities. By creating environments that mirror both community and domestic settings, center-based ABA therapy offers a holistic approach to nurturing children's development.
